Title 1

Title I

Title I is a federally funded program designed to support K–2 students in meeting ELA standards. At the start of the year, students are assessed, and those performing in the lowest quartile qualify for Title I services.  Once students qualify, we identify the specific ELA skills that need support and tailor instruction to those areas. Instruction focuses on building phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency. Students receive support in small groups and one-on-one sessions throughout the day, without missing any core curriculum instruction in their classroom.
